OnuaOnline has intercepted an audio from two individuals suspected to be close to some government appointees purported to be allegedly involved in illegal mining also known as galamsey.

In the said audio, some government officials were mentioned, including a detail discussion of how a driver of one of the appointees allegedly bolted with a GH₵17 million alleged to be proceeds the driver had been asked to collect from illegal miners after patrolling all galamsey sites in the region to collect the appointee’s proceeds from the act.

According to the conversation, after the driver goes round to collect such huge sums of monies from the galamsey sites, he is given a paltry ₵100 which his wife has been fighting him on.
