The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced that it is actively pursuing several corruption and corruption-related cases as Ghana’s 2025 legal year resumes.

The OSP has disclosed that additional prosecutions are expected to be filed in court before the end of 2025.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, October 19, 2025, the Office stated it is prosecuting a number of cases on behalf of the public, adding that “more cases will be filed in the last quarter of the year”

In its Facebook post, the OSP shared some successes it has achieved thus far, revealing that seven individuals were convicted earlier this year through plea bargaining.

It said that the feat underscores the OSP’s steady progress in fulfilling its mandate to investigate and prosecute corruption and corruption-related offences.

The announcement coincides with the courts’ reopening following their annual vacation, marking the resumption of hearings on several high-profile corruption cases that have garnered significant public attention.

The OSP listed specific cases currently before the courts, highlighting its efforts to hold individuals accountable for corruption and financial misconduct within both public and private institutions.

Some of the prominent cases cited by the OSP include former National Petroleum Authority (NPA) boss Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and nine others; Public Procurement Authority (PPA) boss Adjenim Boateng Adjei and Charles Bissue, and two others.
