The Sakumono District Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting incident at the Celebrity Golf Club at Sakumono, a suburb of Greater Accra.
Police have named Abubakar Mohammed, aged 28, Eric Asare, aged 23, and Felix Darko, aged 48, as the suspects in the Friday, October 18, 2025, incident.
In a statement issued by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command on Sunday, October 19, 2025, it said investigations have begun into the incident, with efforts underway to arrest others suspected to be part of the incident.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects, “falsely” claimed to be National Security operatives, stormed a construction site belonging to one of the executives of the Celebrity Golf Club, and unlawfully discharged firearms, causing damage to parts of the property.
The attack, police have indicated, as per its intelligence, is linked to an ongoing land dispute involving some parties within the Nungua Traditional Council.
All three suspects are currently in custody, assisting police investigations.
In the statement, the police further cautioned all individuals and groups to desist from lawlessness, particularly in matters relating to land disputes as the law will deal with such persons squarely.
The Celebrity Golf Club, located in Sakumono within the Tema West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, is a well-known recreational facility frequented by both local and international visitors.

The Accra Regional Police Command cautions all individuals and groups to desist from lawlessness, particularly in matters relating to land disputes. It assures the public that those found culpable will face the full rigours of the law.
