Two armed robbers are feared dead after being allegedly shot by a police officer for robbing a salon at Sakumono, a suburb of Accra, OnuaOnline has learnt.

The duo according to an eyewitness attacked a female apprentice of the salon whilst setting up the place for business Thursday morning, December 15, 2022.

Narrating the incident to OnuaOnline, the owner of the shop [name withheld] said she heard her apprentice shouting for help few moments after opening the salon.

She explained how the incident occurred with the policeman coming to her aid.

“I was doing something inside the house this morning when the girl (apprentice) came for the keys. As soon as she opened the shop some two guys rushed on her inside and demanded she hands them her phone and money. They pulled a knife at her. “She was frightened so she ran out of the shop through the big gate and started shouting for help. She screamed the name of a police officer who is a security at a house just around the shop. The policeman came out with his gun and commanded the robbers to stop when they tried running. But they refused so he also shot both of them,” she narrated.

The bodies of the two have been picked by the Vivian Farms Police Station.
