The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for a gang of robbers who shot and killed two people and injured two others at Fufulso junction in the Savannah Region.
A statement by the police said security has since been intensified in the Fufulso township and surrounding communities, and an intelligence-led operation is currently underway to get the robbers arrested to face justice.
Two people have been confirmed dead, while three others are in critical condition following a robbery attack on a mobile money vendor at Fufulso Junction in the Savannah region.
The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when armed robbers reportedly pounced on the vendor while he was attending to a customer.
According to reports, the assailants opened fire during the attack, shooting the vendor and the customer who had gone there to conduct a transaction. The two victims were rushed to the hospital but died on the way.
Three other individuals who sustained gunshot wounds during the incident are currently receiving treatment at the Buipe District Hospital, where medical personnel say they remain in critical condition.
