Two vehicles were completely destroyed after a fire broke out at Mahean, near Divine Glory School, on Sunday night.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby properties.

According to the GNFS, personnel from the Anyaa Fire Station responded promptly after the Fire Master Control received a distress call at 9:40 p.m. on July 19, 2026.

A fire crew, led by Assistant Divisional Officer II (ADO II) Tetteh David Quansah, was dispatched a minute later and arrived at the scene at 10:02 p.m.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 10:18 p.m. and completely extinguished it at 10:54 p.m.

The fire completely destroyed a Toyota Highlander with registration number GN-3868-Y and a Nissan Sentra with registration number GE-6765-12. A Nissan Coaster school bus, bearing registration number GT-2061-N, sustained partial fire damage.

The GNFS said its personnel acted swiftly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings and other vehicles.

No injuries or fatalities were recorded in the incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established and remains under investigation by the Ghana National Fire Service.
