Some unknown gunmen have reportedly shot former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, OnuaOnline is learning.
Reports indicate the former Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility after the gunmen opened fire on her vehicle in Accra on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The legal practitioner was shot near her brother’s residence, according a source from Adwoa Safo’s team that pleaded anonymity to Graphic Online.
The source claimed Adwoa Safo was present in the area when armed men allegedly opened fire hitting her vehicle.
Meanwhile, OnuaOnline has copies of viral photos of Adwoa Safo on a bed with blood in the face which is viral on social media.
A photo also showing bullet holes on the vehicle she was reportedly in has also been shared on social media.
The attackers reportedly discharged many rounds of ammunition, with one of the bullets said to have grazed her neck.
Police is yet to comment on the incident.
