The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has called on Ghanaians affected by the suspension of commercial flight operations in Qatar to submit their travel information to the mission to facilitate assistance with their onward journeys.

In a notice issued on March 12, 2026, the Embassy said the directive follows the closure of airspace and the suspension of regular commercial flights in the country, which has disrupted the travel plans of several passengers.

According to the statement, Ghanaian travellers holding valid tickets with Qatar Airways who are either in transit in Doha or residents awaiting departure from the city have been asked to provide their details to the Embassy to facilitate their departures from Doha.

The information required includes their names, biodata pages of their passports and copies of their flight tickets. The Embassy explained that the documents will help it coordinate with the relevant authorities to support affected travellers in continuing their journeys to their respective destinations.

The Embassy of Ghana in Doha urged all affected Ghanaian nationals to send the requested information via its official email to enable timely assistance.

The mission assured citizens that the move forms part of efforts to ensure that Ghanaians impacted by the flight disruptions receive the necessary support while arrangements are made to facilitate their departures from Doha.
