Employees hit the streets, weeding and desilting drains to support President Mahama’s flood recovery sanitation drive.
Staff of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) took to the streets and operational sites on July 10, actively participating in the nationwide National Clean-Up Exercise.
The massive turnout underscores the Company’s deepening commitment to environmental sanitation and public health in the wake of recent flooding events.
Employees at the Company’s Headquarters, alongside staff at all operational sites, were spotted in their numbers sweeping, weeding, cutting overgrown grass, clearing curbs, and desilting drains both within and around their operational areas.
The synchronized effort aligns with the National Clean-Up Campaign announced by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, which is being held under the theme: “Our Action, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana After the Floods.”
The initiative seeks to restore clean and healthy communities while fostering a strong culture of collective responsibility for environmental protection.
The exercise at the Ghana Gas Head Office received a significant boost when the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, joined Management and staff on the ground.
His participation highlighted the cross-sectoral collaboration required to tackle Ghana’s persistent sanitation challenges.
Ghana Gas remains unwavering in its support for national initiatives that promote environmental sustainability.
The company has called on all Ghanaians to play their part in keeping our communities clean and safe, emphasizing that routine maintenance is key to preventing future sanitation-related disasters.
