Ghanaian born US-based musician, Nana Yaw, popularly known as Nana NYC has won the Hip-hop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year at the just ended Ghana Music Awards – USA.

He also won collaboration award for the Highlife song of the year ‘Yawa’ by Dreamz GH featuring Nana NYC.

Nana NYC being crowned as the Hiphop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year indicate his team’s hardwork throughout the years.

As part of his team’s vision to paint the whole of USA musically with Ghana colours, his current album dubbed NanaYawBusiness has been a project that has toured all over the States on big platforms and making several appearances.

The awards ceremony at the Lincoln Theater, Columbus-Ohio saw some great artistes decorated and acknowledged for their contributions to the industry.

Kofi Kinaata was crowned Artiste of the Year, whilst rapper, Black Sherrif was decorated with the Hip-hop/Highlife Artiste of the Year and New Artiste of the Year awards.

Gospel sensational, Diana Antwi Hamilton, won Female Vocalist of the Year with Akwaboah grabbing the Male version. Rap Doctor Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Yeeko’ featuring Kuami Eugene walked him home The Most Popular Song of the Year.
