“Governments have no power except that granted by the people. Unfortunately, many within our population do not feel part of our democracy.”he said.

He further stated that “i will be the leader Ghana wants”, adding that “Your courage to bring me in again, will not be in vain. I will have the humility and presence of mind to address our challenges. I intend to tell you the truth.”
President Mahama stated four pillars that his government will focus on.
“Economic restoration, improvement of business environment, governance as well as accountability and fight against corruption,” he explained.
He noted that “great leadership is about the legacy we leave for the next generation” and promised that “We will create decent and well-paying jobs.”
