Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced that government has taken delivery of 100 29-seater buses.

The buses, the Minister says, are to help subdue the transport challenges confronting residents in the major cities, particularly Accra and Kumasi, during peak hours.

In a post on his X account on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu noted that the 100 are part of a total 300 that have been procured.

“In the mean time, 100 29-seater buses have arrived in the country to ease recent road transport challenges. They form part of 300 procured for the purpose,” he posted.

The Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese in the Central region added that the two subsequent batches of 100 each are expected to arrive in August and November this year.

“Another batch of 100 will arrive in August with the last batch of 100 arriving in November.”
