Celebrated Ghanaian gospel musician Great Ampong has been ordained as Reverend Minister by Ghanaian-American Archbishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng in recognition of his commitment to using music to share the gospel and support the Christian community.

The ordination took place during Great Ampong’s visit to Archbishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng’s church in the United States of America.

Before he conferred on him the title, the Archbishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng took the opportunity and asked Great Ampong to reflect on his past conflicts and apologise to persons he’s engaged in feud with including Daddy Lumba.

During the ordination ceremony at the church, Great Ampong heeded to the Archbishop’s advice and apologised to his fellow musician, Daddy Lumba.

Great Ampong, known for his soul-inspiring gospel songs, has been a prominent figure in Ghana’s Gospel music industry for about two decades.

He has many hit songs including; Hossana, Akoko Funu, and Style Bia bi, among others. This new role marks a significant milestone in his spiritual journey and ministry.

Over the years, Great Ampong and Daddy Lumba’s feud has garnered a lot of media attention since they have both recorded diss songs to vent their frustrations.

According to reports, Daddy Lumba and Ampong got into a fight over some unpaid royalties after they collaborated on the Christian song “Hosanna.”
