Sensational highlife/afrobeat artiste Kidi has said his dream is to collaborate with Highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu known in the showbiz industry as Daddy Lumba on a song.
“I have a song that I’ve told my team that this song will never come out until I have Daddy Lumba on it,” he said on Onua FM’s Drive-time show, ‘Efie ne Fie’ with The 3 Wisemen on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
The reigning artiste of the year pleaded “Daddy with all due respect, I want to have you on that song.”
Sharing why he wants the hilifer on his song, Kidi explained that Daddy Lumba is his father’s favorite artiste.
“Daddy Lumba is my dad’s favorite artiste growing up, he would play his songs every morning. I can sing a lot of his songs”
When asked if his team has approached him, He said “I was supposed to meet him at a show at the National Theatre, but I left earlier. I don’t want our conversation to be on phone, I want to meet him in person and tell him, Daddy I want you on a song. I want to meet the greatest musician.”
He concluded.
Kidi is out with a new song featuring Mavado. He calls it ‘Blessed’.
