Kpando Heart of Lions continue their stay atop the Ghana Premier League after holding Asante Kotoko to a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Matchday 4 encounter was only the second game for Asante Kotoko due to their campaign in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
For the visitors, it was their fourth match, having won all their games so far.
In recent meetings, Heart of Lions have had an upper hand over the Porcupine Warriors, securing a lone-goal victory in the GHALCA Top 4.
Therefore, Asante Kotoko went all gun blazing from the blast of referee Charles Bulu’s whistle.
An ambitious scissor-kick effort by Albert Amoah hit the cross-bar with goalkeeper Lawrence Over rooted in post.
Bashir Hayford’s men, however, held their own to share the points with the Reds as they remain unbeaten in the season so far.
Asante Kotoko’s next encounter in the League will be their outstanding match against champions Bibiani Goldstars SC.
That match will be played on Wednesday, October 8 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Lions are also scheduled to play Hearts of Oak next.
