Ghana Premier League side Kpando Heart of Lions have parted ways with head coach Salifu Fatawu.

The club communicated this in a press release on Thursday, December 14.

Coach Salifu Fatawu guided the Kpando-based side to the elite division last year.

But the fortunes of the club have taken a different turn, which has seen them bottom of the Ghana Premier League with eight points after 13 games.

“The Club thanks Coach Salifu Fatawu for his role in ensuring its qualification to the Ghana Premier League,” the club said in the press release.

“We wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”

Coach Salifu Fatawu joins a list of coaching casualties in the Ghana Premier League.

Former champions Hearts of Oak began it all by parting ways with Dutch tactician Martinus Koopman. Bibiani Gold Stars also parted ways with Michael Osei. Bofoakwa Tano FC also sacked Stephen Frimpong Manso and his assistant, Isaac Kofi Sarfo.
