The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed ongoing power outages in parts of the Greater Accra Region to faults caused by a heavy rainstorm on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

In a public notice, ECG explained that the adverse weather conditions led to disruptions in the power distribution network, resulting in outages affecting several communities.

The company assured customers that its engineers are actively working to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible.

ECG further urged customers experiencing outages within their homes or premises to report the situation through its contact centre or visit the nearest ECG office for assistance.

Customers can also reach the company via its official social media platforms.

The power distributor apologised for the inconvenience caused and appealed to the public for patience as restoration efforts continue.
