On August 8, 2025, Temi Otedola married musician and music executive Mr. Eazi in Iceland, and her spectacular wedding left fans all around the world in awe.
Beyond the glitz and glamour which characterised the wedding, Temi claimed that the main reason she choose Mr. Eazi was because he is her best friend.
The daughter of Nigerian millionaire, Femi Otedola in an interview with BBC News Pidgin stated that she agreed to be with the ‘Forever’ hitmaker for a variety of reasons, but friendship was the most important one.
“There are too many. How would I choose one? Wow. First and foremost, he’s my best friend. That’s my person. And I think when you meet your person, you just know. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anybody else.
“He’s the person I’m excited to spend every day with, to build our lives together, to work through ups and downs, celebrate together, and solve problems together. He’s simply my person. We’re just excited for what’s to come,” Temi disclosed.
The actress and fashion designer also discussed why she and Mr. Eazi decided to keep their romance, engagement, and marriage a secret until they were ready to talk about them.
She said it was more about control than it about being secret.
“It’s not necessarily about privacy. For me, it’s more about owning your own narrative. Moving in silence allows you to have a certain level of control over things. It lets you build the story you want and share it on your own terms, when you’re ready, how you want, and in the way you choose. That’s why, whether it’s work or personal news, I share in my own time,” she explained.
