Veteran Hiplife musician Obofour has agreed to his fellow Hiplife artiste, Skrewfaze’s legendary status claim as the latter recently declared.
Skrewfaze declared himself a legend in Ghana’s music industry in a recent post on TikTok.
This was after fans had drawn his attention to Stonebwoy’s new hit, ‘Jejereje’ asking him to join Stonebwoy for a remix.
The fans noted that the song’s sound was reminiscent of Skrewfaze’s music from his earlier days.
Skrewfaze, in a response, said a protocol had to be honoured if a remix would materialise because “I can’t just wake up and jump on the song just like that”.
“You have to know I’m also a big boy, I’m a legend,” he explained. “I, also, respect myself as an artiste and I expect same. If he or his team gives me a call, why not? If they don’t call, we just enjoy the vibe [song].”

The US-based music performer acknowledged: “The song is beautiful, this Jejereje. Big up Stonebwoy!”
However, some music fans on X challenged Skrewfaze’s self-acclaimed legendary status, arguing that he was only a one-hit wonder.
Responding to such opinions, UK-based Ghanaian music executive and veteran Hiplife musician Obofuor Raphael criticised Skrewfaze’s detractors, outlining Skrewfaze’s legacy in Ghana music history.
“Those bashing Skrewfaze on X because he sees himself as a legend are naturally “idioticals” without apology. This is a gentleman who has done more than 400 features and loads of them became a hit. He took the featuring spot baton from Samini in 2004 courtesy of Castro’s Boneshaker. Let’s respect that gentleman’s hardwork. Allow! Apart from everything, he has manners [more] than most of your favourite artists,” the Ruffy Records CEO said.
