Broadcaster Blessed Godsbrain Smart has questioned the Senior Advisor to the president, Yaw Osafo Maafo on how ‘Ghanaian national’ Aisha Huang suddenly became a Chinese national.
His question comes on the back of claims made by Mr. Osafo Maafo that Aisha Huang now Aisha En has become a Ghanaian because she is married to a Ghanaian.
Following the brouhaha surrounding the arrest of the galamsey kingpin and her arraignment for court after news of her deportation came up few years ago for indulging in galamsey, images of an ECOWAS Identity Card (Ghana Card) bearing details of Aisha Huang popped up.
Many raised concerns about the credibility of the Ghana card considering the possession of same by foreigners.
But the NIA has in a release clarified that the card is not meant for only Ghana nationals but foreigners in Ghana as well whose nationality contain their countries of origin.
The woman under discussion for instance –Aisha En as indicated on the card –according to the NIA has China stated on her card as her nationality.
But during his rants Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Captain Smart rebuked him for lying to Ghanaians about the woman’s identity.
He questioned Mr. Osafo Maafo how Madam En whom he claimed was a Ghanaian bore a Chinese nationality on her Ghana card.
