Andy Appiah-Kubi, Former MP, Asante Akim North, is making a case for flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP0 to be elected as president.

He made the point that Dr Bawumia will do things differently from what happened under the Akufo-Addo administration.

“I can assure you that Dr Bawumia will be different from Akufo-Addo. He will listen to criticism and do what the people want,” he said on the Key Points on TV3 Saturday February 7.

Appiah Kubi further called on every member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to support the flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to win the 2028 general elections.

He made the point that the party now has a candidate who should be supported by all members, irrespective of the candidate they supported.

Appiah-Kubi, who supported Dr Bryan Acheampong in the NPP polls, said on the KeyPoints on TV3 Saturday, February 7, that “Bryan Acheampong’s performance was good because he reached out to all delegates across the Country. But the election is over, for now we are all throwing our support to the flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.”

For his part, Private legal practitioner Kofi Bentil is impressed with the performance of former Agric Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong in the just-ended flagbearer primaries of the New Patriotic Party.

He described Dr Bryan Acheampong as the most significant emerging candidate in the NPP. He expressed the view that if Dr Acheampong carries himself well in the NPP, he stands a better chance of leading the NPP in the future.

“The walkaway winner was Dr Bawumia. The most significant emerging candidate in NPP to watch is Dr Bryan Acheampong, his showing has been surprising. If he manages his life well, there is no question about where he will go. He will go all the way,” Kofi Bentil said.
