The Deputy Minister nominee for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey says the late highlife musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) had a voice that “defined generations”.

The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region said Lumba’s music follows everyone “through the seasons of life”.

Madam Affo-Toffey said these on social media post upon hearing the demise of the late highlife icon.

The Deputy Minister-designate said “I have received with deep sorrow 💔 the news of the passing of a brother, a friend our very own legend, Ghanaian music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba”.

She explained that “Daddy Lumba was more than a legend, he was the voice that defined generations”.

“His timeless music accompanied us through the seasons of our lives, stirring emotions and creating lasting memories”, the MP added.

The MP explained that “What makes this loss even more personal for me is the memory of his humility and kindness”.

“I will never forget how he surprised me on my birthday, a gesture that spoke volumes about the kind of person he was behind the fame, warm, thoughtful, and truly down to earth”.

She expressed condolences to the bereaved family, wife and children.

“I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who mourn this irreplaceable loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his music continue to inspire generations to come”.
