Ivan Innocent Kyei, a Youth Activist and Social Commentator has said the most dangerous thing that could occur in any polity is to “arm a fool with political power.”
The effect of such instance he noted, is terrorism.
His comment comes on the back of blocking of SIM cards of unregistered subscribers where the primary document for the exercise –Ghana card –has not been made accessible to them.
Speaking on Maakye on Onua TV Tuesday, September 13, 2022, he noted the brouhaha about Aisha Huang’s deportation and resurfacing in Ghana is not a surprise to him since Ghana is a failed state.
Mr. Kyei indicated President Akufo-Addo’s admission of uncertainty about the deportation of the galamsey queen is a serious breach in protocol and the security of the state which must be addressed rather than terrorising citizens with threats over frivolous issues.
“I’m not surprised over Aisha Huang’s issue because we are living in a failed state. Our leaders leave their brains on the sea after acquiring education abroad. And like I’ve said, if we continue arming fools with political power, they will continue to terrorise us,” he noted.
