Chief Justice nominee, Justice Paul Kwadwo Baffoe-Bonnie, has pledged to run an open and inclusive administration as he prepares to assume the mantle of Ghana’s next Chief Justice.

In his first public pronouncements since being nominated, he assured that his leadership will prioritize collaboration and transparency, particularly between the bench and the bar.

“We are excited about the future. I will run a very open administration and will work with all members of the judiciary. The bench needs the bar,” he declared.

The remarks were made when the leadership of the Ghana Law Society paid a courtesy call on him in Accra Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Justice Baffoe-Bonnie used the opportunity to highlight the need for stronger bonds within the legal fraternity, stressing that the effective delivery of justice depends on active cooperation between lawyers and judges.

He further emphasised that his vision is to foster a judiciary rooted in integrity, openness, and shared responsibility.

The Ghana Law Society congratulated him on his nomination and pledged their support to the judiciary under his stewardship.
