An aspiring Ashanti Regional Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr Frank Amoakohene has refuted claims that he is engaged in bribing delegates for votes ahead of the regional elections.

He has also discounted claims that Dr Kwabena Duffuor is sponsoring him to buy votes from delegates.

Dr Amoakohene made references to allegations made by his opponent, Kwasi Ofori Agyeman on Akoma FM’s morning show and carried by OnuaOnline, that Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has sponsored him with huge amount of money to induce delegates.

But Dr. Amoakohene stated he has not aligned with Dr. Duffuor and he has no intentions to bribe delegates for votes as some people have been alluding to.

Speaking on Akoma FM’s evening political show Ghana Maadwo Wednesday, November 9, 2022, he told host of the show JB that “I don’t know where these allegations are coming from but I can say that I am not involved in the said allegations and that those leveling the allegations should come clear with evidence because I have never given anyone money to vote for me.”

Earlier, Dr Amoakohene’s major contender who is also aspiring for the Ashanti Region Secretary position for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kwasi Ofori Agyeman alleged that Dr Amoakohene is being sponsored by Dr Kwabena Duffour with huge sums of money to bribe delegates for votes.

But Dr Amoakohene has discounted the claims and has dared those perpetrating such allegations to come with evidence or be prepared to meet his legal team for redress.
