Reggae Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has said he is tired of the insults and unnecessary vilification on his personality for no cause.

During an upclose with Captain Smart on Onua TV/FM Thursday, November 3, 2022, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. said many have always defamed his character on social media without any caution to them but people choose to attack him when he replies those attacks.

He says sometimes he has to allow some pass because he would rather be tagged wicked for replying such persons.

He revealed the discussion he has had with the IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to ensure persons in the art industry are protected.

“I’ve spoken to the IGP about that we need security in our entertainment industry because when I hear about the way people insult me on television and on youtube, it is getting too much and that is all defamation of character and if I want to take on all those people, I believe I’d be tagged as wicked but I want people to understand it is too much for me and I’m tired.

He added that his fans love him because they saw his beginning.

“Because I am trying with my music career, everyone is seeing the success in me and I’m the only artiste that can boldly say that people saw me walking on the streets of Nima and I’ve tried so hard today to even create employment for sect of the youth in the country and so I’d say that with this opportunity, it is an advice to the general public that if you see people on television tarnishing the images of certain people, I think the police should come inside and that would bring a certain law and respect in the arts Industry,” he noted.
