Onua FM, an ancillary of the Media General Group, has launched its morning show today, Monday, February 19, 2024.

The show, dubbed, Yɛn Nsɛmpa, was carried at the Volta River Authority (VRA) yard at the Madina main station in Accra.

The ceremony was graced by the general public, clergy, politicians and a host of others.

During his speech, the Head of Onua Radio, Efo Dzakpasu, indicated that the show has come to help address the challenges confronting the various communities in the capital.

“Yɛn Nsɛmpa, which means “Our News” in Twi, embodies the spirit of community and connection. Each morning, we will come together as one family to explore the latest news, share stories that matter, and delve into topics that touch our lives deeply.

“Onua is known for threading where the devil fears to thread. We are bold enough to say what others fear to say and we promise to stand with you in the morning on YƐNSƐMPA programme from 6am to 10am to inform, educate and discuss Ghana’s development agenda, hold duty bearers and citizens to account, render praise where praise is due, have fun and also give voice to you as we connect with our communities to enable you to speak out on issues in all sectors of the economy,” he assured.

Mr. Dzakpasu continued that, the brand “reaffirm our commitment to you our loyal listeners and the public to continue to operate with the highest professional standards in media, adhere to the ethics of our profession and work to get results for our people and communities. As we say, RADIO GETS RESULTS. We also remain committed to our tagline “Yedwene woho”.”

The show would be hosted by Nana Yaa Brefo and Isaac Ekow JB.
