A disturbing development reaching OnuaOnline indicate a husband and his wife have been burnt to death at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North district of the Ashanti region.

The deceaseds have been identified as Kwabena Tabi 45 and Pinamang 40 years.

Information gathered by our news team has it that the couple were on a motorbike to the market on Thursday, February 15, 2024, when the incident occurred.

A taxi cab carrying gallons of petrol on its roof climbing a speed rump had the gallons falling onto the road at Betiako.

The petrol spilled onto the road and immediately ignited fire and trapped the couple, who had also reached the scene with the motorbike.

They sustained severe injuries and were sent to the Tepa Government Hospital.

Due to the extent of injuries, they were referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but died Sunday February 18.

They left behind seven children with the youngest being one and a half years old.

The driver of the taxi is in police custody assisting in investigations.
