The Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Daniel Baah Acheamfour, has declared his intention to contest as the substantive Regional Secretary of the party.
He believed that having served as deputy to Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, for the past four years, he has served the party well in that capacity and paid his dues towards the growth and development of the party in the region.
Speaking to the media, on Wednesday, September 9,2026, Mr Acheamfour observed that working with his boss has given him more experience and made him conversant with the party’s rules and regulations.
He said his work with party members across the region has prepared him, and he believes the time has come for the party to give him the nod as Regional Secretary to continue from where he supported his boss in the past four years.
He was of the view that experience is the best teacher and said there is a need for the Ashanti Regional NDC to reward selfless hard work and commitment to the development of the party in the region.
According to him, he has been tried and tested by the grassroots across the constituencies in the region for his ability to mobilise members, and he promised to build on that experience to deliver.
He reiterated that elections are about experience, selflessness and readiness to improve the lives of the grassroots towards the total development of the party and victory, adding that he has what it takes to ensure that the party continues to dominate in the region when given the nod.
