The Election Committee of the New Patriotic Party conducted the balloting for its upcoming national executive elections today, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, with former General Secretary, John Boadu, picking the number one slot for the chairmanship position. 

Former Second Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe, picked number two while former National Chairman, Paul Afoko, picked number three.

Former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, will be number four on the ballot paper for the poll scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.

The balloting is part of processes leading to the October 3 elections which will elect new national executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

The four contenders are expected to intensify their engagements with delegates across the country with messages of party unity, grassroots mobilization and strengthening of internal structures.
