Black Stars coach Otto Addo has called for a 100 percent commitment from his charges in order to make it to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.

He admits that there are no easy games and that the qualifiers are going to be tough.

Otto Addo was reacting to the draw held by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday, July 4 for the qualifying series for Morocco 2025.

Ghana were drawn in Group F against Angola, Sudan and Niger.

“Surely, we believe in ourselves to qualify from this group,” Otto Addo reacted.

“But it is going to be tough.”

He recalled Angola’s exploits at the last Cup of Nations, losing to Nigeria at the quarter-final stage.

“I think they had a good last AFCON where they went out by 1-0 when they played against Nigeria. They did really well in that match. I watched it,” he said, also underscoring the Palancas Negras’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign so far.

“They have a strong squad and we can’t take it easy. It’s going to be tough. It’s going to be close but like I said I have a strong belief that we can succeed against them.”

For Sudan, he said despite not known, James Kwesi Appiah’s side are difficult to beat.

Nonetheless, he believes the Black Stars will triumph over the Falcons of Jediane.

He admits that Niger are also difficult to be beat but definitely the Black Stars will emerge victorious from the group.

“There’s no small team at the moment in Africa. You saw at the last AFCON that very very strong and known teams had problems with a lot of smaller so-called unknown teams. So, it’s going to be tough but I think we have the quality to beat all of them but it is going to be close and it’s going to be tough. There are no easy games.”

The qualifiers will start in September.
