The two members of the Jomoro Municipal Assembly in the Western region who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident will be buried today, Friday, June 13, 2025.
The two were traveling back home after taking part in a meeting meant to confirm the President’s nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The deceased persons are Francis Armoh of Alaboale Electoral Area and Ransford Otuo Darko of Elubo West Electoral Area.
The two were on a motorbike from Tikobo No. 1 heading to their various homes, but while on their way, their motorbike collided with a Toyota Rav4 vehicle, killing them on the spot.
One of the deceased was trapped under the Rav4 vehicle while the other somersaulted severally in the process.
The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, in a social media post said “in a deeply emotional and reverent moment, the bereaved families, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Jomoro, the Municipal Chief Executive, members of the NDC fraternity, and a host of sympathizers assembled in sorrow to receive our fallen heroes.
“As the quiet streets of Elubo bore witness to an overwhelming outpouring of grief, the community stood united in mourning — honouring two gallant sons whose lives of service were tragically cut short.”
She said “with deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our cherished Assembly Members, Hon. Ransford Nana Otu Darko (KOFA) and Hon. Francis Amoah (BOLEBA) who tragically lost their lives in a motor accident.
“Their selfless service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our community will forever be remembered.”
Madam Affo-Toffey said “Elubo grieves with a broken heart. May their noble souls find eternal rest. Their memory and service shall forever be etched in the heart of Jomoro.”
