Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Juaben Manhene, and Nana Kwaku Boateng III, New Juaben Manhene, arrived at the Manhyia Palace on the second day of the Nana Konadu Yiadom III Dote Yie ceremony.

Both Nana Otuo Siriboe II and Nana Kwaku Boateng III led fontomfrom drummers and singers performing rich Asante songs as they made their way into the funeral grounds to join the mourners.

Senior officials from the Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, and Ghana National Fire Service were present, observing the solemn occasion and the rich Asante cultural traditions.

The Dote Yie ceremony for Nana Konadu Yiadom III is scheduled to last four days, with today marking the second day of the event.

The Manhyia Palace has become the centre of solemn tradition and cultural grandeur as the second day of the royal burial rites of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, is underway.

Hundreds of mourners, draped in red and black, have thronged the palace courtyard to pay homage to the departed queen mother, whose legacy remains deeply woven into the fabric of Asanteman.

Traditional drumming, horn blowing, and dirges fill the air, creating an atmosphere that reflects both mourning and reverence.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, together with chiefs and royals of the Ashanti Kingdom, will lead the 4-day ‘DoteYie.’.
