64-year-old Agya Osei, a resident of Asempanaye in the Juaboso District of the Western North region nearly lost his life because of a rat.

Reports according to the Unit Committee Chairman, Emmanuel Osei indicate Agya Osei went to farm Saturday to harvest cocoa but didn’t return.

An announcement was made for the community to mount a search for him on Saturday and Sunday but had no sight of him.

Freelancer Emmanuel Sowah tells OnuaOnline some young ladies found his head in a rat hole when they went to the bush to search for firewood.

They ran back to the house to report to the community.

“So we went there, and it was real, so we helped him to move his head,” Mr. Osei told Emmanuel Sowah.

When asked what happened, he said he went to hunt for rat to prepare soup after harvesting his cocoa. Whilst digging the rat hole, his head got stuck in a root which trapped him in there until the young ladies found him.

He is currently at the Asempanaye clinic for treatment.
