The District Director of the National Identification Authority at Juaboso, Abdul Karim Braimah has bemoaned the rate at which people register for the Ghana Card and fail to collect them afterwards.

He made the revelation when Emmanuel Sowah visited the NIA’s Secretariat to ascertain how the registration has been faring.

He described the development as a worry to them. Mr. Braimah disclosed over 4,000 persons have come to register and have not turned up to their office again for their cards.

He says attempts to reach out to owners of the cards have proved futile especially with those who dwell in remote areas.

The NIA Director has therefore urged persons within his district who have registered for the cards to heed to their office for identification and collection.

He also advised those who have misplaced their cards to report to the police station for a form rather than lodging direct complaints at their office.

Additionally, he admonished them to exercise patience since plans are underway to commence replacement for the lost cards.
