Market women of Essam-Debiso were shocked after identifying a pot with a snake inside wrapped with a red bandage in the market. This created fear and panic among the traders.

A black pot with a snake inside wrapped in a red bandage alongside a headless vulture and GH¢5.00 notes [GH¢50.00 in total] have been found in the Essam-Debiso market as traders expressed shock.

The concoction was identified in the early hours of Thursday, November 10, 2022 when the traders went to trade. They suspect it could be a ritual performed by the ‘sakawa’ people.

They explain the items found in the market have created fear and panic among them also blamed their low sales on the concoction.

Meanwhile, the Krontihene of Sehwi Essam, Nana Yaw Barimah tells Emmanuel Sowah “this is the second time such rituals have been found in the Essam market.”

He added that the chiefs have performed several rites to cleanse the market after identifying those items there.
