The police have arrested 22-year-old Benjamin Acquah in relation to the murder of 18-year-old Kwabena Ogyam, an Okada rider who was allegedly killed by two persons.

Kwabena had been hired by the two suspects at Awutu Bontrase to carry them on an errand but was killed along the way at Mfadwen.

According to Onua News’ Central Regional Correspondent, Nana Yaw Asare, Mr. Acquah, who is the main suspect for the murder was arrested in Accra after indulging in another crime.

Residents and other colleague Okada riders have stormed the Awutu Beraku police command demanding for his release to get him lynched.

The police have kept Acquah in their cells awaiting the angry mob’s dispersal before taking his report according Nana Yaw Asare.

22-year-old Francis Mawunya, the other suspect, was arrested by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command in July.

Reports have it that the duo bolted with his motorbike and the body after after murdering him, removed certain organs from his remains and dumped it.

Similarly, three live bullets were shot to disperse the angry residents who demanded Mawunya’s release for them to lynch him just as they have demanded for Ben’s.

The suspect’s father, Kwame Darko had revealed to the media the suspects’ intentions to purchase a ‘heavy car’ ahead of this year’s Awutu Awubia festival through ritual money.

The two, who were the deceased’s friend through their conversations have revsales their intentions to purchase a Benz to show off at this year’s Awutu Awubia festival which kicks off on August 25.

The suspect is currently at the police custody assisting in investigations.
