The security operatives at the Kasoa New Market have arrested a 16-year-old boy who disguised himself as a woman to the area.

The boy, Isaac Nana Nartey, a first year student of the Suhum Technical institute was suspected to be a criminal, warranting his apprehension.

He suspected the victim could be having other accomplices in the market he was scheming a syndicate with.

According to the head of security at the market, Haruna Tetteh Mensah, criminals have taken over the market and have been trooping there at night to pilfer wares of the traders.

He complained that thieves have been patrolling over the market at odd hours to steal properties of the businessmen and women.

He bemoaned the attacks unleashed on the traders by the thieves at night, applauding the efforts by the Awutu Senya East municipality whom he said is aiding them eliminate the criminals from the market.

Meanwhile, the Mr. Tetteh Mensah, has through an interview with Onua News’s Nana Yaw Asare, assured the traders of a 24-hour protection
