Captain Smart has alleged the attempt to insist on the Ghana card as a primary document for registration, to indirectly enfranchise people in the 2024 elections is a rigging ploy by the ruling government.
Speaking Monday, February 27, 2023, on Onua TV/FM, the Maakye host said the head of the National Identification Authority’s recent comment on the cards is an indication that the NPP have plans of outwitting Ghanaians in 2024.
The NIA boss, Prof. Kenneth Attafuah has indicated the Authority is facing a “financial constipation” making it incapable to print over 500,000 cards to people.

But according to Captain Smart, Prof. Attafuah, as a politician, with his permutations on the voter turnout of Ghana and the number of people who have registered so far knows they can rig the polls with the 17 million people possessing the cards and is therefore preparing Ghanaians to accept the figures.
