Asante Kotoko captain Frederick Asare has been reported to begin his rehabilitation to full recovery this week.

According to the club, a programme has been scheduled by the medical team for that effort.

Asare, who was one of the few players to have been called up last year into the Black Stars, was sidelined with a lingering knee injury “but has made a positive step in his recovery”.

“The skipper’s rehab is expected to last for about a week before he joins team training,” the club said in a statement on Wednesday, January 15.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has, on behalf of the team, pledged to support the captain in his fight to full recovery.

”All of us here will offer him all the time and support he needs to recover fully.”
