The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Asante Kotoko has expressed concerns about the recent results churned out by the club in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, insisting members are “equally not enthused with our results and deem it unacceptable”.

As a result, the Committee says an emergency meeting with the coaching staff has been called.

This was contained in a statement on Wednesday, March 27 following reports of the dissolution of the technical team.

“Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum remains at post, contrary to speculations about his imminent dismissal,” the statement opened.

“The IMC acknowledges the concerns raised by our cherished supporters regarding our current situation,” it continued.

“It must be placed on record that management is equally not enthused with our results and deem it unacceptable. However, the IMC is committed to ensuring that there is a quick turnaround in our current fortunes.”

The statement further disclosed that various steps have been taken to address the concerns.

The Committee is, therefore, urging fans and supporters “to remain calm and continue to support our club in these turbulent times”.

“We also thank you for all the concerns raised as well as your contributions, for which the IMC will give it the needed consideration.”

It called on all and sundry to have absolute trust in the coaches “to reclaim the stride with which we ended the first round”.

The club is currently 7th on the Ghana Premier League table with 32 points, just behind their opponents on Sunday Bechem United.
