One person has died with many others sustaining various degrees of injuries after an articulated truck failed its brakes and ran over some hawkers on the Angloga – Tech Junction highway in Kumasi.
The fully loaded truck was negotiating a curve at the Anloga Junction heading towards the Airport Roundabout when it summersaulted.
Rescue team is currently on the grounds searching for accident victims.
It is still not known how many people are trapped under the fallen truck.
The situation has currently created a gridlock on the Accra – Kumasi highway.
Eyewitness, Ken Antwi , who spoke to Akoma FM on M’abatoɔ with Evans Nkum said “many traders have been crashed.”
