The Eastern Regional Women’s Organiser of the NDC, Shirley Naana Osei-Ampem, has sent a goodwill message to aspiring and incumbent Constituency Women Organizers in the region as nominations open for the party’s constituency elections.

In a statement, Madam Osei-Ampem saluted all women who have stepped forward to serve at the constituency level for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She said the leadership, mobilisation and commitment of women from the branches to the constituencies remain critical to strengthening the Women’s Wing in the Eastern region and building the party for victory in 2028.

“From the branches to the constituencies, your leadership, mobilisation and commitment remain critical to strengthening the women’s wing in our region and building our beloved party for Victory 2028,” the statement said.

She urged the aspirants to focus on service and results, admonishing them to serve with humility.

“To all my woman putting themselves forward, lead with purpose, serve with humility and let the work speak,” she stated.

The NDC has opened its internal reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections. Nominations for constituency executive positions opened September 15 and will end on September 17, with filing scheduled between September 23 and 24.

Leadership say the party will carry its vetting from September 25 to September 27, with appeals slated between September 29 to October 1. Constituency elections will be held October 24 and 25, 2026.

For the regional contest, nominations will open October 6 and will end on October 7, with filing scheduled between October 14 and 15.Leadership say the party will carry its vetting from October 16 to October 17, with appeals slated between October 19 to October 20.

Regional Youth and Women conferences will be held November 13, ahead of the regional elections on November 14 and 15.The exercise will climax with the National Congress on December 19 to elect national executives.
