On Wednesday, 19th November 2025, the Bono Regional Police Command paid a courtesy call on the Sunyanimanhene, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen KorKor Ababio II, to formally introduce the new regional police leadership.
The delegation was led by:
* DCOP Joshua Coppson, Esq. – Regional Police Commander
* ACP Kumah Andrews – Deputy Regional Police Commander
* Superintendent Ebenezer Amin Ofosu – District Police Commander
* Chief Superintendent Owahene Acheampong – Divisional Commander
* Superintendent J.J. Boye, Esq. – Regional Crime Officer
* ASP Obeng Boadu – Staff Officer
* ASP Peter Okantey – Regional Operations Commander
* Detective Prince Dogbatse

In his address, DCOP Joshua Coppson, Esq. stated that the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce himself and his team to the Sunyanimanhene Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen KorKor II. He appealed to Odeefour for support in helping to peacefully resolve ongoing chieftaincy issues within Sunyani.

Responding to the delegation, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen KorKor Ababio expressed his appreciation for the visit and warmly welcomed the new commander and his team. He commended the Bono Regional Police Command for their dedication and hard work.

Odeefour urged the new commander to advise his officers to stay away from land disputes but to remain firm in fighting criminal activities related to land issues. He further encouraged the police leadership to ensure discipline and professionalism among officers while on duty.
He also praised the Command for the efficiency of its visibility unit and announced his intention to donate a piece of land at Baakoniaba for the construction of a new police station.
