Flagbearer of the NPP has described former President Mahama as the worst performing president in the history of the Fourth Republic.

Addressing party faithful at Manso Adubia on November 8, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia appealed to the people of the town to vote for him for development.

“When you look at the former President what did he do for Manso Adubia, what development did he bring to you? Did he do one kilometer of tarred road for you? He didn’t give you anything,” he said.

“When you look at all the presidents in the fourth republic, former President Mahama has been the worst performing president of the Fourth Republic. When you look at the data it is clear. GDP growth, he is the worst, Agric growth, he is the worst, industry he is the worst, job creation he is the worst,” Dr Bawumia stated.

“We have done better than him in roads, in jobs, hospitals, schools, railways, sanitation facility, landing site, courts,  whatever matters, we have done better,” the NPP flagbearer added.

Earlier, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia met with the Clergy, Muslim clerics and traditional leaders. His engagement was to sell his policies and convince the stakeholders to vote for him.

Chief of Manso Adubia Nana Duku Appiah Dankwah assured the NPP flagbearer of their votes in the upcoming elections.

“We know that NPP you have done some for us, what we have seen is that every intervention that you bring it affects everybody, when you look at the free education in every body’s house there is one. So let’s remember what the NPP has done for us. Let’s not be ungrateful so that we do what is expected of us. let nobody come to deceive us,” he said.

The vice president and flagbearer promised the people and the chiefs of massive development when they vote for him.

“I know what is important to you, the first one are your roads, and that is my number one priority. By God’s grace the road we have done 46 kilometers. The rest of the road, leave it for me and I will do it,” Dr Bawumia assured.
