A former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, has disclosed that he foresaw and predicted both John Mahama’s Vice Presidency and the being President.

‘Lion’ as he is known in the political circles, says he observed the former President and told him at one meeting that he foresees him becoming a Vice President and proceed to being a President one day.

He explains John Mahama only laughed it off and said “Lion is a very funny person” when he was quizzed why he was laughing.

Speaking with Captain Smart on Onua TV’s morning show, Maakye Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the former Minister of State said he reminded Mahama of his prophecy when he finally became President after Professor Mill’s death.

“Mahama loved doing things on the laptop and I once told him that from the way I see him, he will become a Vice President and President one day. He laughed at me and when we stepped out, someone asked him what has Lion told you that you are laughing and he said don’t mind him, Lion is a very funny person,” he disclosed.

“Later when he became President I reminded him, he said Lion, as for you, you are a natural politician,” he recounted.

The presidency of John Mahama began on 24 July 2012 and ended on 7 January 2017. John became the 4th President of the Ghanaian Fourth Republic after he succeeded John Evans Atta Mills who died in office on 24 July 2012. Prior to that, he served as Vice-President of Ghana from January 2009 to July 2012.
