A former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, has disclosed that one major trait he learnt from former President Rawlings was how he cordially related to people irrespective of their status.

As the head of the Regional Security (REGSEC), Mr. Afotey-Agbo said he needed to be in the know of whatever was happening in the region, the reason he was even calling out his contact on air whenever he attends any media interview.

In an interview with Captain Smart on Onua TV Wednesday, April 17, 2024, he said the former President was speaking to people he didn’t even know yet they were friends on phone.

He said he didn’t want to be speaking to only those at the top but everyone, so they could report those big men who may be doing bad things to him.

“I gave my number out to everyone in public so that I would be informed of whatever happens. I learnt this from Rawlings. He always spoke to people, some of whom he didn’t even know. I didn’t want those on top to be the ones speaking to me alone. Those at the bottom too needed to speak to me so that if the bosses are stealing, they can tell me,” he disclosed.
