President John Dramani Mahama is to Attend the 68th ECOWAS Ordinary Summit in Abuja, Nigeria.

The President will participate in the Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, scheduled to take place on 14 December 2025 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria.

The summit, which will feature a Special Debate on the Future of the Community will bring together ECOWAS leaders to deliberate on key regional priorities.

President Mahama is expected to take part in a closed-door session focused on the strategic direction of the Community, political stability, regional security, and economic integration.

Key agenda items for the session include:

* Pronouncements on the Future of the ECOWAS Community
* Presentation of the 2025 Annual Report on the State of the Community
* Reports on regional security, ongoing mediation efforts, and the political transition in Guinea
* Review of the ECOWAS Trade Liberalisation Scheme (ETLS)

The summit will conclude with the adoption of a final communiqué, followed by a joint press conference.
