Former President John Dramani Mahama, who is also the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured Ghanaians that the next NDC government will see to it that the energy sector will cease to be a milking cow for families and friends as it is currently.
According to Mr Dramani Mahama, President Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has turned the country’s energy sector into a milking cow for only few people in their family.
Speaking at an energy sector engagement in Accra, the former President insisted, “Every Ghanaian must benefit from the energy sector and not some few people.”
The NDC flag bearer also stated that Ghana’s energy sector was once buoyant and can be restored to that state irrespective of the current situation.
The former president has, therefore, assured that the energy sector will not and will never be a milking cow for families and friends under his watch.
