Ghana Premier League side Nsoatreman FC have a daunting task in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup second qualifying round after going 0-2 down at home to Algerian side CS Constantine.
Two first-half goals by Benchaa Zachariah gave the Algerians the much-needed booster going into the return leg.
The first few minutes of the game saw the Ghanaian FA Cup champions controlling affairs until the 11th minute when exchanges on the right side of attack saw Zachariah break the deadlock.
Minutes later Zachariah beat captain Daniel Afadzwu in post to double the lead.
The two goals were the first to have been conceded by the Ghanaians playing at the continental level.
Try as Coach Yaw Preko did, he couldn’t reduce the deficit let alone find the equaliser.
The second leg is scheduled to take place at the Chahid Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine on Saturday, September 21.
